gripshift cable help!

just a quickie,enquiring about the routing of a gear cable into a gripshift srt-600 rear shifter.never had to deal with these before.anyone?

Is there a little cover near the number seven? Don't know much about them but have just looked at the wife's shifter. Don't know if its a 600 though.
