GripNut instead of a 2Nut?

Hi,
I want to use a Chris King headset on my project build (1 1/4"), as I am planning on using a Syncros Cattleprod stem will I get away with using a GripNut instead of a 2Nut (assuming that bit on the bottom of the Syncros is in fact a cable hanger and not just a cable guide :?: :?

(I will be using cantis of some sort and Manitou 1 forks)

on a king gripnut you cant fit anything between the 2locknuts as the collet fits inbetween them. you need a 2nut if you want to fit a headset mounted cable hanger. syncros either had a cable hanger as an integral part on the underside of the stem, or the syncros hang doggy, which mounted to the quill of the stem IIRC

bear in mind that you won't need a hanger at all as there is one on the manitou forks that you are going to use and you should not use the one on the stem or any one attached to the headset!

Thanks very much - now it doesn't matter what I buy first, the headset or the forks.....all I've got to do now is find both
