Not at all, sometimes people can't resist. I'm guilty of it myself.
As to your bike the only thing I can contribute is that it looks to pre-date 501. I've never seen a 531 sticker like that with the manufacturer's name superimposed onto it. I'm guessing it's only the main tubes that are 531 as the overall frame quality doesn't look to be high end.

Never heard of the Globetrotter brand myself but it looks quite nice with proper mixte headlugs and chromed forks. A rather strange mix of Japanese and European components as well. And it comes from Great Britain - allegedly![]()
