Had a job, lost it, had another job, lost that too...

now I sit and watch my weekly income dwindle whilst the missus has had to go part time...

when will it end??

Feel free to have a moan -

I only work 13 hours/week, and have the luxury of working at home. As long as I meet my deadlines, I'm free to do choose my own hours.

Sure, the pay isn't that high, but I get by and have no stress whatsoever. I'd only go back to full-time work and office hours if there's massive amounts of money involved.

Just cut down on unnecessary expenses and enjoy life. It's short enough already.

I'm enjoying being unemployed. 8)

Never been so stress-free..

I was looking forward to being made redundant last year. But still work wont do it and put up with me taking the piss.
Maybe this year year.

I now consider myself retired..

If I sign-on for jobseekers, it costs me almost as much in fuel (to get to my nearest job centre and back, each week) as it would be for them to pay me fortnightly..

Crazy..

My husband has faced redundancy for the last few years now, every year enough people go for voluntary redundancy he has has been saved. We don't have tons of money but if he lost his job I don't know how we would cope with four children, although the oldest is paying his own way now.

I hope you find something soon and more permanent

Alison
