I've been riding the trails round Gisburn Forest for a few years and aways thought it a nice steady place to go for a ride out.

Went up there yesterday for the first time since Feb and OH MY GOD!! It's turned from mainly fire road into a full on MTB course. Virtually every part has been changed and improved. Turns out they got a grant and have been working on it all year. Think of a smaller scale Dalby (about 12.5 miles for the red route) and you're not far off. It has obviously been done by people who know and care about what they're doing as the work and attention to detail is first class.

It has become my favourite local ride now and I highly recommend it to any of you. I'd go as far as to say it's worth a special trip over if you're not local. :D :D :D :D :D :D

Was back up to Gisburn again today and it's still ace. Found a cafe just off the route where you can jet wash your bike for free.

Any one else been? I can highly recommend it. 8)
