Gios Compact Pro frames

Can you still buy these framesets in the UK.
I'm after a new steel training bike and have pretty much settled for a Bob Jackson, but before I hit the button I'd like to know if they are about and how much they cost?

I had a Gios back in the late 80s early 90s when I was racing 'more' seriously, so they have a place in my heart.

Ta.

I briefly had a Gios Compact Pro that was a size too big for me and it was lovely-I've seen 'new' Gios steel frames on the market but I don't know if they are actually made in Italy anymore and seemed pricey. More precise info I do not have.

I'm pretty sure if you keep your eyes peeled on forums/ebay for the next few weeks you'd catch a well-kept classic for a reasonable amount though... I know it's not the same as that fresh paint feeling but I just got a stunning hand-built Orrell steel cross frame for a pitance compared to what it would have cost to build.

Good luck!

The Gios brand has been split in two. www.giostorino.it continues to market a range of Italian made frames based on the Super Record / Compact models - met them at L'Eroica and frame prices were in the region of 800 Euros but not sure if they have any UK dealers. Think they sell direct. However, www.gios.it is a travesty where they have licensed the brand to a Japanese company AFAIK who sell a range of far east produced bikes.
