Hi Guys I am the "proud" owner of this rescue puppy.... Like all rescue dogs it is costing me more than a new one, but hey, it is a delight to ride, and we all need a hobby... Anyhoo. The headset is tbh, and to use the technical terminology, banjaxed. It think what is on there is the original, marked "Cane Creek ZS" The od of the bearing cartridges (both) is 34mm. The steerer tube is 1" carbon. Any suggestions as to a replacement, please? I have spent many hours with Park, Hope, Cane Creek, FSA, Ritchey etc, and am still confused. Also any good bodges to get the orig crown race (?) off of the fork crown? Mainly so I can measure the dia. Also can I use any modern expander, I think the orig is not good..
