They're about the biggest bike brand in the Netherlands - a bit like a Dutch Raleigh. In their heyday they produced everything from roadsters to professional racing bikes. At one time they were part of the TI group that also owned Raleigh.

They never had much of a UK presence. I don't know who made their Ti frames.

I seem to remember seeing one BITD but other than the name couldnt remember a lot about them tbh if that explanation wasnt added i would have thought it was a cheapo but then i seen the TI part

- doesn't look very 'Ti' - brown bits around the fix?
Just scorched paint. It looks like old school Ti. The welds look right, the bare metal looks right where the chain slap and suck have removed paint, and it makes sense that all the tubes are 35mm - a cheaper way of making a Ti frame before bike-specific Ti tubes were common.

merlin titanium b.bracket shells were the same size as the head tube for the same reason... I seem to remeber reading in an old MBA :)

Hi,

Gazelle and Raleigh were both part of the Derby Group early 90s. The Titanium Pro is identical to the Raleogh Ti's :) Made in Russia.

As said above Gazelle is a very big brand overhere. They are part of our bicycling culture, but they have also great race heritage. The Champion Mondial AA is great custom frame hand made in Dieren by Gazelle's race department.
