Looking for a serious randonneur? With this you get yourself a great start.
The Randonneur is ready for fenders, rack, low rider and so on. Colour is a purple/brownish (maroon?) with silver seattube and fork. Fork is a brazed unicrown model with a lug. Metal headbadge. Very neatly made, with nice lugwork. The Dieren Gazelles from around 1994 offer the best in refinement and craftmanship of everything that carries the Gazelle name. The frame uses 525 steel tubing. As you probably know steel is the material of choice for serious travellers, as it strong, stable, comfortable and can be repaired everywhere. This frame is sturdy for heavy loads, but at the same time is surprisingly light still.
This frame got design input from well known globe travellers.
As you can see it is a NOS frame (warranty card still attached) and it is seriously well made. The seatcluster/ht/bb area close up pics give you an idea. On one decal: ''Origineel Gazelle Handwerk'', what means Original Gazelle Handmade. It is handmade in the little shop in Dieren, The Netherlands, where also the Champion Mondials were made. The frame is ready to take cantis, V's or Maguras.
Moreover:
- metal headbadge
- engraved Gazelle in bb shell
- full brazed fork
Dimensions:
Seattube 56cm C-T
Toptube 58 C-C
Headtube 11.5
Serial#: 4134305
Looking for 180 GBP including shipping (UK and mainland Europe)
