Now before anyone says anything, I know the chance of finding something good in my budget is slim but if life has taught me anything this year it's that the only failure is not even trying.
I'm looking for a full suspension frame (size large) with rear shock for around £150. I'm hoping to build something up over the winter to take on next year's 24 hour challenge. I'm not worried about wheel size, I just want to build something with a special meaning. All of my bikes are named related to what they mean to me hence my Boardman being called War Horse as it helped me through my battles. This project will be Firebird, after the Phoenix, because this past year I've created a new chapter of my life overcoming my demons and I'm proud of myself so want to celebrate it with this build.
I'll get other bits as and when I can raise the money for them but I'd like to at least find a base so I can start planning around it. Does anyone have anything that might potentially be a good base for me?
