Retro Newbie
SID Titaniums for sale. 2001 model, with lockout - mounted on top of leg, not remotely. These are in good nick - stickers a bit tatty, but Ti Nitride legs in v. good condition. They have been regularly TF serviced, and not ridden since 2005 (hung up in the shed after I sold my hardtail frame.) Disc and V-Mounts. Steerer length 195mm

£100

I have a blue Scott Endorphin and think that these would look great fitted as well as being an improvement over the current Judy XC's.

What's the history of these forks(pre 2005)? Have they had much use? Have you ever had any problems with them?

Assume that the steerer is 1 1/8"?
How much travel have they got?

Also, do you have the v-brake mounts for them? (notice that they're not attached and only one side has a bolt inserted, are the threads OK?)

Thanks

They would, indeed, look sweet! And be 1000 times better than Judys.

The forks were raced by me for 3 seasons, and serviced after every third race. I'm a qualified Rockshox technician, but still had them serviced by TF annually. In the time I used them they never blew any oil seals, but I routinely replaced the wipers and dust seals. They have been upgraded to the post 01 Samurai wiper seals. Lockout works perfectly and the hold air well. There is slight bushing play, but, to be honest with you, any SID owner knows this is par for the course!!

80mm travel, and, inspite of their age, its plush and well damped. Obviously they don't have the travel or steering precision of a modern fork (Reba etc) but I challenge you to find lighter.

V-Brake bosses are in good nick, I've just left one hole open as I am using the hose guide that lives there on another bike.

1 1/8" steerer.
