FS Pace RC36 ProClass 2 forks

DrK

Retro Newbie
A change of frame means I have a spare pair of these lovelies :P . They have just been serviced and set up for 100mm travel. They take Vs with adapters or Disk brakes.
The steerer is 1 1/8" and 192mm long.
The decals are all present with the odd minor scuff but no big chips or bits missing (other than the grease gun, sorry I need that for my others), copy of manual also provided. More pics available by mail (can't post here sorry).

Price is £125 posted.
Thanks,
Matt

Crowns

Some forks have raised adjusters which can foul downtubes and write off a frame in a crash if they spin round!! I have two Merlin XLM's and and a GT that have this problem with modern Rockshox forks.

Just a hunch, but I reckon this could be because modern fork platforms wish to keep the Axle to Crown growth limited for ever increasing suspension travel. The crown is a logical place to address this.

I have this problem on my (modern - sorry!) Chameleon, Cane Creak do a +5 and +8 headset that is basically +5 or 8mm on the lower race/stack. Works a treat for clearance and has little to no effect on geometry!

Forks

Most moderns now have Hydroformed downtubes, so clearance not a problem, older straight tubes with small headtubes and even modern Steel and Ti frames- a big problem! I got some +8mm crown races for my Chris King headsets, OK with moderns but not with olde skoole! look a bit naff and lift front end a bit too much really.
