For sale a nice example of manitou 1 good seals move smooth but need new elastomers 135mm 1 inch steerer £60 posted uk(SOLD)

Are the elastomers available and is it the steerer or crown thats interchangeable?

Not sure about the steerer - this is the slotted crown with four bolts in the rear so I think it may be replaceable?

Manitou rebuild manuals always say you should never press out the steerer so its a crown and steerer i am afraid

yep i think your right mate the manitou 1 did have a replaceable steerer as far as i remember but could be wrong (and i usually am wrong)

I have a Manitou 1 but the crown is the same as my 2's; I'm tempted to get these just so I can swap steerers... :?

the crown for a manitou 1 and 2 are a different design, manitou 1 has a slotted crown, where the manitou 2 (mine at least) has bolts on the outside and is cnc'ed to reduce weight

however, if the tubes are the same size, i guess you could use the manitou 1 crown on yours
