This is a Trek ZX “ULTRA-LIGHT” Series 7000 Hardtail Mountain/Trail Bike. It is Made in the USA (Handbuilt by Trek in Waterloo, Wisconsin) and the frame is built from Easton ProGram Taper Wall Aluminum Tubing. It is one of the LIGHTEST, STRONGEST and VERY FAST, All Aluminum Hardtail Bikes – PERIOD! It is great for Serious Mountain Cycling, Light Trail Riding, Road Riding and even Suburban or City use.

THE DETAILS:
This bike was originally purchased at “Dad’s Bike Barn” located at 2425 190th Street, Redondo Beach, CA 90027 and their phone number was 310-376-6502. Unfortunately, after more than 30 years of GREAT service to all cyclists they are now closed.
It NEEDS: New Tires, a Seat Post and Saddle and minor front wheel repair (three spokes need to be replaced) and then re-trued.
It is equipped with Shimano 21-Speed “STX” Triple Chain Rings, Cog Set, Derailleurs and a Crank Set with 7” (175 millimeter) Crank Arms, and Indexed “Grip Shifters” and a Shimano IG Chain.
The Brakes are Dia-Compe 1 ½” Center Pull Units and the Brake Levers are also Dia-Compe.
The Wheels are by LOBO and are 26”, Very Light-Weight, Highly Polished, Welded Aluminum with Polished Stainless Steel Spokes.
The Headset is an AheadSet Brand (by Cane Creek) and is an Ultra-Light, Polished Aluminum unit. The Aheadset® threadless headset, was pioneered by John Rader and revolutionized bicycle steering systems by making them safer and more adaptable to new technologies. Modern suspension forks and carbon steer-tube road forks were born as a result of this threadless headset technology. The AheadSet® original threadless headset was brought to market in 1991 by Cane Creek Cycling Components.
The Stem” is a 4” (100 millimeter) “System 2” Ultra-Light, Polished Aluminum unit with 20” wide, Light-Weight Aluminum Bars and Bar Ends.
The frame size is Medium/Large with the following measurement specifications of: Top Tube Length (Center to Center) of 22½”, Down Tube Length (Center to Center) of 25” and the Seat Tube Length (Center to Center) of 18” and the Serial Number (on the Bottom Bracket) is: 1620429.
The Front Suspension is a “Rock Shox” Assembly and is made from Super-Light Magnesium.
The Frame Color is Purple and it is set-up for Dual Water Bottle Cage Mounts.
The Seat Post Retaining Clamp as-well-as the Front and Rear Wheels have Quick Release Skewers.
