All I know its 8 speed and is a screw on block.

No idea if it will run on a 9 speed chain - probabaly wont cos they tend to be narrower.

Matty....7 speed 12-28 screw on's can be had, I know where there is one right now if it will help with whatever you are doing (and help Jez sell the hub )

8 speed are easy to find

8 speed 12-28 or 13-28 are at my LBS if this helps..And they are screw on..

Plus im sure that gold RINGLE could be made to fit a MTB back end with some jiggery pokery
