Old School Hero
After much humming and harring I have decided to sell my damaged ZINN

there is dent on the down tube I have spoken to shown it to 2 repairers with differnt advice one says replace the tube at a cost of £90 the other says the tube has minimal outward distortion so he suggested filling with braze.

there is also a minor ding to top tube.

for a long time it was my plan to have the repairs done and fully rebuild the bike to its former glory (I have all other parts available in another post) as this bike is a handmade top spec british bike . but its not my size and I think someone would take pleasure in haveing it done to there own spec .

grab your self a bit of british mtb history

£100+ postage

If something fall through would be really interested in buying this. I have been looking for one of these for years.

Thanks

I hope the new owner will enjoy their Zinn... which should have been mine but the seller is claiming he accidentally sold it to the wrong person :!:

Oh well, that's one less person to deal with in future.

previous to manitou916 post I did PM him to say sorry and I am I also said the if it was me I would be angry I totally understand him being upset with me.

I hold my hands up I messed up BIG TIME I am new to all this and if anybody can be arsed to look at my previous posts they will see that I am pretty inept at all of this.

I had a few things for sale at the same time and was receiving loads of PM's with very similar titles manitou916 was the first to make a firm offer and I said the frame was his and marked it as sold ,

somebody else said they would take it if the deal fell through I then went away packed the frame and mistakenly started to finalise with the person that had the last few PM's in my inbox,

There was no underhand dealing I even said Id post it for £5 as manitou916 had not tried to barter with me and seemed a nice chap.

I just want to say sorry to manitou916 publicly and hope everyone believes that I’m not doggy just a idiot

Sorry for not responding earlier but I am away with work at the moment.

I am the evil tosspot who now has possesion of the Zinn :!: (well I am if my heavily pregnant wife didn't chuck it in the recycling in disgust at having to pick up another bit of 'bike junk' from the post office while I am away :!: )

For info, I didn't make a higher offer or anything dubious like that, just a e-mail to the seller to let him know that if it fell through then I'd take it gladly, which I did with a PP transfer as soon as I was contacted back.

The seller is a decent chap and this was an honest mistake.

I have recently dealt with Manitou916, also a honourable chap, who sold me a nice set of wheels. :D

I will contact manitou916 and offer him the frame, a bit gutting as I have always wanted one but I'm sure another will turn up, and its probably too small for me anyway and I don't need another bike and I don't have room for one either and I should be spending money on the baby...................(anyone else go through those thoughts when looking at MTB for sale :?: :!:  )

Its only a busted 15 year old bike frame so no need for like minded people to fall out over, riding, not buying, is the fun bit afterall. :D

Cheers

Adrian
