FS: battered old raleigh :) SOLD

Russell

Old School Grand Master
Selling my winer trainer frame.

Its a Raleigh 'criterium' made from Reynolds 501 gaspipes. Paint is a deep blue metallic which is chipped in places. I think that the forks are bent backwards as I've always suffered with terrible toe overlap and an unnerving tendency to dive under when taking roundabouts at speed. If you've got good reactions and small feet you'll love it. You could of course use new forks.

Waxoyled before winter.

Would make a great singlespeed or indeed cheap basis for a pub bike.

£35 plus postage for the frame, forks, headset, seatpost, stem and bars.

What size is it ? (I'll guess at 21''...)

That is a good question. Vital information missing there.

IIRC, the seat tube is 54 c-c, which would indeed make it a 21"

From the picture the forks appear fine, 1987 vintage I believe and a tad too small form me unfortunately, good luck with the sale :D

Perhaps I have unusually large feet then and a total lack of technical ability/balance.

You know what they say about guys with large feet.

Errrmm Difficult to get shoes

I am of course just going by the picture but normally you can tell straight away when things don't seem to sit right and that looks right :D
