Yet another frame to move on...
To be honest I bought this for one or two parts but as always I came to like it! Only trouble is that it's a bit too large for me... Frame measures 20" centre to top with 22.5" (or thereabouts) top tube.
This was the top steel bike Trek offered for the year and is apparently US built with has nice True Temper OX tubing and neat lugs/details. It's in generally in very good condition as seen below, the only flaws is an area of chainsuck in the usual place and a bit of bubbling paint behind the seat tube where the mech has been fitted. In the case of the chain suck I've had a good check and the metal is perfectly solid so no need to worry there, the metal is also fine behind the aforementioned paint. There is also a touch of paint missing under the head tube but this should be easily touched up though, being red and all. I've pictured these so there are no hidden surprises, but the paint on the seatube was a little hard to snap!.
The DS2 (showa) fork is also in good shape cosmetically but is in need of a service of course, The fork is holding air though so hopefully the seals are saveable. The stanctions appear fine.
I'll also throw in all that is pictured: bottom bracket, seatpost, Tioga headset and a good looking t-bone stem. The bike also has a widget to allow a bottom pull mech to work with the top pull routing that I'll include. I'll say £40 posted or £30 if collected from Central London
