FS: 1991 Kona Lava Dome frame in white - 19 inch

Hi all

Reluctantly I am selling my 19" 1991 Kona Lava Dome frame. Since my son arrived I just don't have enough time to ride all those bikes. I would like £60 posted (mainland UK, any where else I would have to recalculate postage).

The frame is a 1991 vintage, professionally resprayed last year by Argos cycles in a hard epoxy enamel. The decals (courtesy of Gil_M) are from the 1994 Lava Dome, simply 'cos I liked the look.

The frame is in very good condition with a few scuffs and a chip on the under side of the down tube. I had been using it with V-brakes but it was designed to accept cantis. I have adapted the canti cable guide to work with V-brakes. If you want to use cantis you will need a new cable guide. The head tube takes a 1 1/8" headset, the bottom bracket shell takes a 68mm english threaded BB. the seat post width would be 26.8mm. If you want my plain black seat post let me know and I will throw it in.

The frame is a real cracker so I hope that it can find a good home on this site.

Hi, Sorry this is my first post but i have been lurking for a while.
I am interested in your frame for a new project but is the 19' the large frame? i am not too familiar with Kona's.

Looking at the length of the headtube that looks like an 18".

Is the measurement you took C to C or C to Top?
I suspect centre to top which would make it an 18.

I could be wrong so don't quote me

Kona frame - size

A couple of you wanted to know more about the actual size of the frame, the main triangle measurements are as follows (in cm as that enabled me to be a bit more accurate with my tape measure):

Top tube: 56cm
head tube: 13cm
down tube: 62cm

Above are all centre to centre.

The seat tube:

centre to centre: 40.5cm
centre to top: 48.5cm

I am using the centre to top tube measurement as my basis for this being a 19" frame. The centre to centre measurement would make this a 16" frame which it clearly isn't as I am 6ft 3" and it would never fit me.
