I've got an Orange Prestige frame which is black with orange stickers. Shortly I will be recieving a set of P7 forks to go with the frame which are currently bare metal. So the question is,do I stick with orange on black or do I go black on orange for the forks All your opinions are gratefully recieved.

Hmmmm...

You know when I said all opinions gratefully recieved,well.......lol.
I think i'm going to go with orange on black as the frame is only 16" and orange will make the forks look enormous.

My O-Prestige when I bought/built it back in err 92 I think (vague as it got nicked after not many miles  )

Anyway it was black frame (orange decals as they are...) and I had the O-Alu forks on it, so obviously silver in colour. It looked good just with just the silver fork on.
Goes well with silver wheels, stem, seatpost... (though I did have gold WCS bars to add a hint of orangey colour)

In other words, why not leave them silver in colour ?

P7's

Are P7's alu or steel then? I was under the impression they were steel,if so I could paint them silver, but it they are alu I could polish them at work and laquer them.Hmmm I just need to wait for them to turn up so that I can get started.

Don't know. I always thought the P7 was what they rebranded the Prestige frame when it got oversized tubes.

But the prestige is of course steel.

Sorry

Forks that are coming are of a P7,frame is steel Prestige. So forks could be alu then if the P7 frame was alu?

I do not know, I didn't know much about the P7 model's

P7 frame is steel.

I am talking about the Prestige (not the same as a P7). The prestige, may or may not have come with Alu forks when built as one. I certainly did have them though, but MAG20's and PACE shoxks where around at the same time and could be bough on the bike.

What year is your Prestige frame ?
