Front wheel axle length longer than 110mm PICS ADDED

Hi,
Am trying to find if it exists a front 9mm QR wheel axle at a length of 120mm +
anyone know of such a thing.

Its for a project build of a hiking trailer, and I'm needing an extra 10 to 20 mm
extra length in the axle for brake caliper alignment.

Am considering other ways to achieve this, couple of ideas, cut 110mm front axle in
half and sleeve the two halves back together with added length and weld.
Or re work the drop out plate with IS brake mount.
Though all would be easier if a longer axle was available.

Any help on this I would be most grateful.

Re: Front wheel axle length longer than 110mm

The lateral alignment for the caliper is out by around 9mm, a longer front axle would sort this.
The wheel is a Front 20'' disc.

Re:

Is that hub Hope? I didn't know Hope made hubs with axles like this. Thought they were all modular things with the push fit end caps and stuff.

Does it need to be QR?

It'd be dead easy to get 9mm threaded bar/rod with the correct thread pitch I would have thought.

Its not a hope hub. Yes it would be easier to use a solid 9mm thread bar, even loose the disc brake
altogether, though this would be a step backwards in terms of practical use.
This trailer is intended for hiking loads, it needs to fold up for travel on the train, bus, plane etc
then when you get to your destination you unfold and load up.

Looked into fatbike axles and yes they do a 9mmx135 QR, however they don't have sufficient
thread for the bearing race as they use sealed bearings. For a fat bike axle to work I would
have to thread the hardened steel axle with M9x1.0 die by hand, bugger that.
Plan B then.
