Front mech angle

Decided to replace the LX front mech on my Kona with XT-M735. When mounted, the cage is at a very odd angle - high at the front and low at the back.

I've tried 3 other mechs and they all sit normally.
The XT looks in nice condition with no obvious sign of damage. Am I missing something?

Found another XT-M735 and it sits normally. Unfortunately it is 34.9 so doesn't fit the frame and modern shims don't fit it.
Out of interest I weighed the Mountain LX mech and it is actually lighter than the XT, which surprised me. Would still love to know what going on with that darned mech....

The black logo bit looks bent forward to me.

And the cage is a different shape to the other M735. Offending mech at right.

Thoroughly bent and it looks deliberate to suit smaller chainrings

Back to the Mountain LX for now.
Hope I didn't pay much for the darned thing..........
