I'm rebuilding my old Klein pulse and its a bit tatty, cable rub chain suck etc. I've also managed to get my old Moby post jammed solid in the seat-tube as the frame has been in my moms attic for 8 years. Just wondering if anyone has any personal recommendations of frame painters/sprayers/powdercoaters in the London area and what kind of price I'd expect to pay. I've also just had the bottom bracket replaced by Trek at a cost of £130, would this need to be removed or can it be masked off?
I know I should have got the frame done first, but i've been gagging to ride it, so that comes first
I'm not too worried about it looking mint as its not going to be hung on the wall and treated with kid gloves, but its something i'd like to get done eventually.(especially after seeing some of the bikes on here in showroom condition)
I've also noticed some paint bubbling at the seat-tube/bb junction and on the back of one of the chain-stays, is this likely to indicate serious corrosion ie. still safe to ride on?
Cheers in advnce, Stu
