Fillet brazed frame,
Wishbone seat stays
seat stays attach to the seat tube just higher than the top tube.
replaceable hanger
all cables are top routed
all cable guides on top tube are mounted on the drive side.
top pull front mech
for canti brakes

Spotted out side the supermarket at lunch with a various mish mash of parts on it. (from new deore through to old XT and propped up at the front on a tatty P2 fork)

Any ideas?

Could be a Saracen Kili? Not studied them hard but sounds like one.

Al. :D

Replaceable hanger on a steel fillet brazed frame?

the fillet brazed suggests high end or custom, but I can't think of any UK builder who uses replaceable drop outs on a steel frame, or at least one who did so 10 years ago when cantis where the thing.

I thought Fuquay for the wishbone, but he tigged, Roberts, and the like for the fillet, but they didn't use replaceable dropouts, Kili Flyer ticked some boxes but not the routing.
I even thought about an Orange Formula, fillet brazed, wishbone all that, but no dropout.

The project 2, fillet brazing, wishbone, canti and cable routing pushes me towards a Yates Diablo or a Roberts Genesis as they were standard spec but not with that hanger

Stupid question I know, but are you sure about the steel or the dropout?

The hanger was real, the steal may have been imagined, but it looked too skinny for aluminium, and the fillet brazing is more a steel thing I thought.

If I see it again I'll try to grab some pics.
