Hi, just acquired this. Its very light, but has the wrong forks.
Frame no. is 880615.
Quite short, but adjustable dropouts
Fairly tight geometry on the back for its age, no mudguard eyes.

Has Shimano 6 speed 105, index, sugno cranks and mavic/600 wheel.
Bars are Dawes.

Any ideas? Maybe a Dawes??

Now to find some suitable forks, these are nice chrome but too much clearance

Thanks

That Dawes Impulse on eBay has internal cable routing for the rear brake and a fancier seat lug. It also has Dawes stamped into the seat stay top eyes so not the same version. Yours could well be an earlier version though.

What are your plans?

Mark.

Yes, upon closer inspection...
Its the seat stays that sway me, that slightly mass produced concave bit.
Whole bike was cheap as chips and rides at the rear like a nice steel should.
Only a couple of mm short of 130 on the rear too, so easy. Its like a rolls after my OCR2. Got to find some decent forks, there is very cheap powder coaters here, in a barn almost. So will go that route and keep it light and simple.
