Fork mud guards

Anybody use one of these or something like it? Trying to keep all the crap from getting onto the stanchions and damaging the anodising and was wondering if they actually stop the crap from building up around the leg seals.

Made my own out of a old plastic milk carton.. worked really well but have now got a RRP Neoguard

Yeah, I've seen that type too but I don't see how they would stop mud & crap building up around the top of the legs. Not bothered about stopping mud from hitting me but want to stop the crap gathering around the legs and causing damaging wear.

Fit fork boots? they do the job really well, the stanchions on my 1994 mag 21's are spotless.
