for vintage cannondale experts: bottom bracket for my m800

Hi guys, i'm restoring my latest buy, a 1992 ( i suppose) m800 cannondale

The bottom bracket shell measures 69mm while the diameter is 35mm,
so i need an english threated bottom bracket

My crankset is a shimano deore xt m 730 like this one

The question is:
I have found this Bottom bracket

FSA Carbon Ultimax Bottom Bracket 68 x 115mm

i want to know if it could work good with my shimano crankset.maybe is the axle lenght too short?

For my project i want to use only the middle 36 chainring, without front mech

Standard axle length would have been 122.5mm

you will prob just get away with 115mm if running a single ring
