Hi guys, just wondering what i need to fit Middleburn RS7 ISIS crnks on my 06 Patriot? I want to run a double ring, with bash guard and Blackspire chainguide.
What length of bottom bracket do i need 113mm?
Can i run a Blackspire guide with an ISIS BB or does it have to be hollowtech?
What spider do i need? I,m guessing a tripple ring one?

Cheers
Dave

Interested to see how this goes as I gave up in the end

I found that by running such a short BB (113mm with a couple of shims inside the cup to space it over a bit) that the spider ring just about touched the cup I still had the worst chain line ever

It seemed to all come down to the RS7s, old turbines were fine, New external BB raceface somethings  were fine. Now onto Carbon Truvativs that are also fine

With regard to the current clique thing of ditching the big ring for a bash guard and a guide. I also did that - Its great!
but when I went onto the modern cranks I didn't have a 4 bolt plate, and thought a guide without plate would be daft. Using the logic that I only occasionally dropped my chain back in the day I went for the two ring NO Guide. I spent the whole weekend waiting to nut myself. you know what, it hasn't happened yet. I guess if everything is set up properly a guide seems a bit overkill?

I found a pic on the net of a guy using middleburn,s on a Patriot, i was going to post it here, then i relised it was actually your bike Scrat

Yea seems like a tricky one, will do a bit more research, then give up and fit Evolve XC cranks with a chain guide
I have Raeface Diabolous cranks on it now, but they weigh as muh as me so they have to go
