I was has anyone else had this problem when fitting Manitou forks.
.I’ve come to fit a pair of Manitou Sxr (2000) onto my Kona frame. Im using a Hope Enduro headset.
I’ve notice the steerer tube diameter is the 1 1/18” diameter until I get down the bottom 1.5 inches or so and it turns into 1.16” diameter and this obviously wont fit into my headset.
I’ve never used them before always been more of a marzocchi man myself. Is this a common problem with Manitou forks of this era and does anyone no a way round it. I don’t really want to sell the fork. Maybe a possible crown change, headset that will fit it and my kona frame etc??
