Fillet brazed frame set for sale inc campagnolo parts

Due to deciding to peruse the holdsworth build I'm reluctantly selling this fillet brazed frame set. I've not got the time or funds to do both!

It is still a mystery as to the builder of this frame, but most members agree that the bike is from around the 1950's and of a good quality due to the skill needed to fillet braze a frame and also the nice features such as the pulley wheel for the campagnolo matchbox front mech that I will include in the sale.

It's a really lovely frame, with an array of braze ons. As of yet I've still been unable to confirm the maker, although here's the link to the thread with regards to this http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewto ... t#p2159134

It's a 57cm bb to top of seat tube and 55cm top tube. 120mm OLN. Campagnolo dropouts.

The frame is in great condition as can be seen, the only defect being a 3mm small hole in the underside if the downtube, dead centre of the tube. A good re-finishing company will be able to fill this when it is re enamelled.

I'm looking for £150 for the lot plus £25 postage or collection welcome. Any questions welcome and viewings.

By the looks of the rear wheel in the frame I'd say this was set up for 27" wheels and longish brake calipers, definitely not for 700c

If its a Fiamme tubular rim, it'll be 700c. That's good news! If its 120 oln 27" wheels then its likely a quality late 50's British frame. Though with all that Campagnolo on it, if its original to the frame could even an Italian built frame. I'd start checking for frame numbers and comparing them to the Bianchi/Bottechia register. If it IS Italian you've won a watch! Lovely bit of brazing on it, definitely up there with some of the nicest frames I've ever seen.

The lamp boss is on the right side of the forks so it's designed for the left side of the road............pound to a penny it's a UK frame :D

Like I said measure the hole centres of the head badge and ask about on Gillot owner forums and compare the serial numbers. Gillot 'borrowed' a lot from French frame design...
