Falcon San Remo model 76 or Olympic 78?

The brake levers are Universal without the rubber hoods. Replicas of these can possibly be obtained on the web. I also think Hilary Stone may be able to supply them. Worthwhile fitting as they transform the feel of the levers to make them quite comfortable in use.

However, probably 'not inexpensive' as they say!

Birmingham Alloy = Birmetals, a company that made alloy bike components in the 1970's. Anybody remember the "I'm Backing Britain" campaign? Birmalloy products came wrapped in union jack cardboard, similarly the Falcon's of the era had a union jack in top of the Falcon decals.

Love the Sugino Mighty chainset :) here is my pink San Remo Equipe

I'll post some more pics of my San Remo at the weekend.

PS just realised I should have typed flag as its only a jack when it's on a ship

Tricky one to answer, my Falcon San Remo was taken off the team production line by Billy Holmes and I raced it in the 70's so it is special to me. Is the quality of construction as good as my same period Viner? No......

Shaun
I have a san Remo too, I agree the construction not as good as Italian and why no braze ons ?
