I have an old Falcon road frame that I am building as a hack for my 16 year old. The "aero style" forks are goosed so I ordered a set off the good old bay. They turned up today as promised but I found that I thought I had ordered 185mm length but the were in fact 135mm. I know should've gon to spec savers! Now the I rang the suppliers and are more than happy to exchange them but they don't have any road forks with the right length steerer. So a thought,if I installed a quill stem to ahead stem converter of a suitable length and used a thread less headset would this work?
