Letters Chris King upside down.
Read an article about CK and there are fakes for sale, looking very similar, only letters are upside down. And no CK quality.

Looks more likely that he unwittingly stacked the cups upside down for the pic. CK bearing caps and base plates will fit top or bottom cups, which share the same design. The positioning of the lettering relative to the edge of the cups also suggest that the cups are simply inverted.

i cant really imagine someone taking the time to machine , anodize and then f**k them up by lazer etching the logo upside down

I thought the same, but the company Rose in Germany had an artikel about CK that there were really fake headsets for sale. New, but fake, looking very similar to CK, but just not CK. And don't aske me why they etched the letters wrong. But they are around.
I noticed this one, and although I have a CK headset, I didn't know you can stack them like this.

Imagine it. I've traveled in Asia and you would be amazed at some of the things you see on fakes. Basic misspellings, etc. I don't have an opinion whether it's fake or not but counterfeiters are just popping out these things, if someone makes an error somewhere along the line, they won't notice as it's not neccesarily their specialty.
