Just been trawling through old school photos and long lost friends and been left with a distinct feeling of...

I dunno, its not nice.

I had a page, old school friends - check.. most of whom never spoke to me at school.
Mafia Wars - check.. get completely wrapped up in that and 600+ 'friends' later it's all a bit much.

Eventually binned the whole page and started a much simpler one, profile security tighter than a gnats ******* and a few select people.

Farkle is my only guilty pleasure on there now.

Both my daughters had pages and I removed them... far too much aggro.

i use arsebook but again i have mine set pretty tight and i only add people i know, but being honest even when i see someones name suggested to me (that i know) to add as friends i don't automatically add them. i have about 90 people on mine, most are good friends, the rest i keep in touch with from places i have been on holiday in places like NZ and the alps, it's good to keep in touch with those people as i go back to those places so it's good to see them again.

some of my friends have over 400 friends, why? you don't actually know them!! they're just random people you meet!! :roll:

i also click "hide" on any of that mafia farmville vampire crap.

oh and as far as old school friends . . . i hated that school and the kids were all poorly educated idiots who i did my best to forget as soon as i hit summer holidays after my last year, when they add me now which several have done they get the ignore button toute suite!! usually takes them 2 refusals to get it though!!

I don't actually mind faceache anymore. I never go on the website so I don't have to see any of that mafia farm for pirate vampires cr@p, but get the useful messages, invites etc sent to my phone. It's actually quite good if used how it was originally intended!

Ditto. Have lived in SA and NZ, friends in some far flung places, and it's a great way to keep up with what they are doing.
But agree only have people I would like to sit down and share a beer with

i used it for a bit. went on a mission trying to find a few guys i was really friendly with at school.

the realisation soon hit that we drifted apart foer good reason though.

i'm happy with the few real friends i have

i like it,having moved around alot when i was younger its been great to see old friends.i never use the games etc and only add/search for my friends.tbh spend to much time on here and ebay now pmsl :roll:

The Mrs went on for a week or so, got inundated with muppets she used to know, so ended up binning the whole thing.
