E Err Retro Guru Feedback View May 13, 2008 #1 My new Real BB has the option of adding extra cartridge bearings, is there much point in this? I thought i might just go for one extra, if so, would i put it on the drive side? Is it worth it?

Xesh Senior Retro Guru Feedback View May 14, 2008 #2 The extra bearing usually goes on the driveside and helps to spread the load a bit, thus increasing the life span of the bearings. You probably won't notice any difference though. Most BBs seem to work fine with just 2 bearings (it's lighter too).
