No idea where to post this, so going for "Off Topic"
My young kids ride cycle speedway (got hard kids me
) and we recently picked up an Archie Wilkinson single speed in need of a bit of love - the wheels seem pretty decent but tyres less so
Standard wheel size is the wonderfully archaic 26 x 1 3/8" - NOT MTB 26", so I am wondering if anyone has come across any decent tyres in 590 diameter (as opposed to 559). Google / ebay and asking around has found plenty of roadster tyres, even some very pretty white walls but flat out on a cinder track they will only get you to hospital, not the winning line
