ERD for Alesa Xplorer 26"Rim

I found a 36- h Alesa Xplorer 26" rim unused. I would like to know the ERD of the rim so that I can respoke it with an Exage RB-50 front hub.

References to source dimensions would be good too.

Thanks

At the same time I was wondering what people's experiences were with DT 535 rims for bicycle touring. I have a Shimano XT 737 hub and paired with a DT Swiss 535 with an ERD of 540 would give me 261 mm on the L and 259 on the R.

I've not used DT so can't comment on those. Couple of hopefully- useful links:

Stumbled across this, which has ERD figure in it for Alesa Xplorer 26". It appears the same as the 700c figure in the same table. One must be wrong.

And in case you want to double check (advisable!)

I am pretty sure it is 526 as it appears identical to a Ryde X-plorer. It also seems to be a disc brake version of the rim.

If you have the rim on hand, measuring it yourself is the most reliable way to get ERD. Manufacturer specs for ERD are often off depending if they measured with or without accounting for the spoke nipple seat length.

It always pays to measure yourself if you can. As the post above it is a bit wild west regarding ERD and spoke length calculators and manufacturers dims can't be trusted 100%.
