the emma watton case from 2013 was really bad she never even apologised to the bloke she knocked off ps she was a bitch.

I hope this guy didn't knock anyone off and if he apologises on twiter for telling porky's all should be forgiven for just being a pratt.

The company possibly has some very strict online code of conduct, and maybe this was a good excuse to get rid of the guy, i mean look at his twitter name, seems like a quality individual.

This even made the local BBC TV news last night.

An HR 'expert' they brought in said had he not said he was on his way to work, the company could not have done anything, but because of that one phrase he could have been seen to be bringing the company into disrepute, and if he had less than two years service, then he could be shot out the door.

I do think it was a bit of an overreaction for a very black joke, but for all we know this could have been the straw that broke the camels back.
