Looks like a 1992 Sahara Elite. If it's all still original, it'll have a 300LX groupset with Deore thumbies and DX brake levers.
It appears to have a reasonable set of Tioga Farmer John's Cousins on it too.

Not sure about the 'light weight' description as it'll have a fairly heavy frame and all steel chainrings to add more weight.
But not a bad bike.

Yeah, definitely 1992. The gear shifters appear to be thumbies. I can't see if it still has its original groupset, but seeing as it's still got its original saddle and the front/rear reflectors have never been removed, I would bet that nothing's been changed on that bike in 19 years.
