I'd won a frame & got this from a seller today:

"I can not ship the frame regular USPS because it is too big. So I we have a few options, I can ship it as an oversized package, but it will cost another $50 and I will need your phone number for delivery. I can take it to my work and see how much UPS will be with our discount. Or I could refund you some of the shipping costs and just send it to your friend here in the states. Let me know what you would like to do. thanks"

He'd previously said it was 100 USD to ship the frame. What do you think ? Make him stick to the 100 USD to the UK shipping?

I ran into that same problem (w/ myself being the seller) USPS has very different guidlines for different countries. I really don't think he ment to do it, at least i didn't intend to miss qoute my buyer. See if he is willing to meet you in the middle.

frame shipping

I also had a problem with shipping a frame overseas, the country was Norway and the shipping cost ended up being about $50 more because of the oversized package. So he's probably telling the truth. He didn't do his homework before telling you what the shipping cost would be so ethically he should eat the cost of the extra shipping.

Find out how he is packing it. Maybe he is using an oversized box. I've bought a few frames from overseas and the costs were half of that. Ask what the size/weight of the box is. Maybe he needs to take off the fork and only use a box just big enough for the frame. Maybe he is using a tandem box or something.

I'm assuming here that it's U.S -> U.K. so go to the website: usps.com and start looking at the postage calculator.

The seller had the same trouble with my last Trimble. 2'' to big so repacked it better. Plus only cost $75 to London. But he said he would refund the excess postage The F**king W**ker didn't. I wont forget

Just got a kestrel frame fromt states - actual cost of postage was a tad over $56 plus about $8 insurance using USPS priority shipping - about 2 weeks max inc bloody customs holding it up

Is this coming from East coast or West, Mid USA ? Mine was west Coast. Would make a difference too the postage?????
