I sold my Stumpjumper on eBay last night. Had it advertised at £225 or offers, the buyer bought it for £225 outwright. Checked this morning and the buyer only registered with eBay yesterday and has no feedback. Had a message off him today with him asking if he can pay using someone else's card. Now he's asking to readvertise it on eBay so he can buy using a different ebay account.

Time to report him to ebay and accept that it's dodgy?

Any help would be much aprpeciated.

Give it a couple of days and report as a non-paying Ebayer. You will have your fees returned and the buyer will receive a non-paying strike.
You can also just request a cancellation of the transaction...be sure to list the reason as the payment not rec'd or cleared and again, you will get your fees back.
Could be a genuine numpty in which case you could ask for alternative payment...like cash
:D

I kind of think that the guy doesn't have a credit card, which he thinks he needs to pay via paypal. But, I don't want to loose a bike out of mis-trusting someone.

Hard work this! I could do with the money too :(

Sent him a message stating that I could meet (2 1/2hr drive for me!) if he gave me £20 towards fuel. Wanted something just in case he didn't show and I'd wasted the time and fuel. Correspondance has gone dry since. Humph!

Think it's time to stop being silly and just keep the bike!

Start a dispute and get your fees back.....and update your Ebay account buyer requirements.
