He's dreaming asking that price for it. Especially as it only has Judy XL's instead of Boxxers/DHO, and none of the propper DH parts on it.

I dunno, If it wasn't actually a DH then I think the Judy fork was standard on them. (Didn't the DH models have a BB mounted chain device and no front mech post?)

Also (and more appealing in my eyes) IT HAS the rear disc end.
Notice the lack of V-brake mounts.

yeah I'm not a GT expert so I'm not sure. First thoughts for me said it was overpriced.
If it had boxxers, and the AC cranks and chain device erc, I'd think about it.

That is 1998 STS DS 1000 or 1500

Look at the headtube on the frame, it is all Thermoplastic.

The 1997/8 STS DH had an aluminium headtube that was bonded to the carbon. It also had internal cable routing through the top tube and no external cable guides were present

The DH frames did in fact have the mount for the front mech so it could be converted to a fully geared bike. The bike also came with Rock Shox Judy DHO's as standard whilst the DS's came with the Judy XL's.

The bike looks in pretty good condition BUT the seller is really pushing the boat out trying to get £1500 for it. Here's a much better bike for less than half the price he's asking. If there's any interest then PM me
