A Tesco 'Finest' BSO would be better value than this.

Maybe the decimal point is in the wrong place....

Easy_rider, I have a near mint Raleigh Amazon f+f with original decals in the garage if you are interested, that I would part with for a nominal sum plus P+P (or you can collect for free of course). Give me shout and I can send pictures.

It's a quality bike compared with the Tesco POSs! But the example here is a bit dear I agree, and given the TLC that has been applied to it, the guy (or gal) should just hang on to it rather than just get £30 for it. Despite the 'brand equity'...

My dad bought a new Amazon in days of yore, but was sold one that was too big for him (he's 5'7") so I ended up getting him an Edinburgh bike co-op frame and forks in the right size and inherited the old ones. Happy to throw in a 100GS front mech to sweeten the deal!

Tempting offer therealkw15, but where am I going to find a 100GS groupset
I will keep it in mind though thanks, but I think all I wanted is if a complete bike came up very local to me for 15quid i'd have a punt. Didn't want to start an Amazon project.

I loved my old Amazon and did lots of off roading on it, even did my DoE Bronze Expedition with it with panniers.
I rode it into the seafront wall by accident (strong head on wind, head down cycling) and pushed the forks&headtube in by the subsequent bending of he top&down tubes. Never rode the same after that, although I did carry on riding it for ages as that's all I had.
