Ebay bidding

I've veen following something but the bidding pattern below is making me feel a bit nervous? When you check the guy's bidding history he has LOTS of bids .... but never seems to win anything (an extreme version of me ). Am I being too suspiscious - and if the price is right it doesn't matter anyway.

A classic "nibbler". Inexperience ramping up the bids.
Will usually get outbid by a large proxy bid or sniper anyway, as (s)he will back off or just be too late with that final incremental bid.

Bung in your highest bid and go down the pub.
The early bid always wins (all things being equal).

The plot thickens...
Ebay pulled it AFTER the auction ended and emailed me stating the auction was void. I've no idea what was going on. Unfortunately my hand cannon was not packing enough wedge, though it has gone for a pretty large chunk of cash assuming the winner takes it.

The bidding sequence shows lots of individual bids somehow :? If (s)he entered a highest amount it would only show if a lesser bid had been entered then that bidder would be placed above it.
