Well someone doesn't think my Peugeot Pipeline 5 is a pile of crap.
They have given it a place in early mountain bikes timeline.I must say the guy I bought it from said he used to ride it down the mountains in Los Angeles and then shipped it back to the UK when he changed jobs .The picture on the timeline has been taken from my post on Retrobike.

I don’t know who would ever call that a pile of crap.

The bars would make a interesting (but fun) riding position.

Love it!

That's a beach cruiser as the name, "pipeline" refers to surfing terminology.
Jamis started this way as well. They were producing beach cruisers with gears.
Hence, many of the actual jamis MTB's were pained in bright beach colors.
I grew up on the shore where there was a lot of surfing and the bike stores sold a lot of Jamis bikes.
Hence, my first MTB was a Jamis Durango, which I still have and keep as my beach bike.

Holly smokes, I’ve never seen a Jamis that old! Great job for keeping it rolling. 12 speed drivetrains… those were the days :) Also, I like the frame bag/shoulder strap, in case you have to carry your bike up the hill/mountain.
