Early Bontrager 1" Rigid Mountain fork [w/wide]

These are pretty damn nice though......so tempted....
Gotta stop shelling out so gonna have to miss these ones :x

...but they are the best looking pair I've seen in years. Not a mark on them plus a spare crown. There's normally a lot of interest in Comp forks.

The price doesn't suprise me. There aren't many sets like that left.

It's suprising in that it went for far more than I've seen them go for, even in NOS condition. But hey, to each his own.

Ebay and price / market stability aren't exactly synonyms.

3 people sniped with what they probably thought were winner bids, only to find that there were two others who wanted them just as bad. It's the snipe that drove the price up - but in theory that's what they are "prepared " to pay. Comps are always sought after, so I just hope they realised that they might just end up paying their snipe price.

That was the market value to those bidders. Now if it gets relisted it will be interesting to see if they bid again to the same level.
