early 90's Trek question

Hi all

I am thinking of building a replica Travis Brown Trek 8500 the bike he rode in 1990 Worlds old Treks don't show up that much on here do you think finding a frameset would be pretty tough or should i look at buying the Trek 6000 thats for sale on here and just doing it similar to the travis brown one? with the possibilty of a spray job any help would be great

Off course you should buy the Trek 6000..haha

It's ready to get shipped and I will throw in original parts I have like:
stem/bar/forks/bottlecageholders(original Trek)...and it's reasonable priced I think..
