I have reclaimed my first love from my parent's garage in order to rekindle our relationship. My dad has been using it as a shopping bike for a while (hence adjustable stem etc) but I have the original Joe Murray stem to refit.
I learnt to MTB on this bike and raced on it so there's plenty of special memories. I always wanted to put suspension on but never saved enough before other distractions got in the way, which I'd like to now make good on. I did fit full XT back in the day though, and one decent rim.
My question, if I may is what forks should I look to source to fit please? I intend to use the bike for adventure racing, so reasonably technical-light riding and low travel demands with lower weight preferable. My 14yo self dreamed of putting some Pace RC36s on but not sure if that's still a good idea. Or a pair of Judy XCs.
Any advice welcomed - I guess I'm much less familiar with which forks have stood the test of time well, could still be a good fit and can be sourced in ok nick. Thank you!
