Think i had it on a 93 gt karakoram(dodgy spelling?)

surplus to requirements.

Sorry, close the clamp like it would fit on the bike and measure across centre, GT's were quite oversized but oversized enough, I dunno!

i tried that, but when its fully closed its not 31.8

where abouts in manchester are you?
i dont mind letting you have a trial fit etc if your not to far away from me.

Remember fully closed it would be slightly smaller than it actually is
