Here we have an ultra-strong front wheel, designed specifically for downhill. The rim is a 36 hole Mavic EX721, Mavic say “SUP welded, eyeleted and made from the Mavic's exclusive Maxtal alloy, EX 721 provides downhillers the strength and agility they need. Rewarded by many victories on the most disputed races, this rim is the one you need to be fast on the down side of the mountain”. Quite. The hub is a Shimano Deore HB-M525 disc, I’ve had it apart, the cones and bearings look good. The rim is also in great condition, just a few marks on the edge. I’m not sure what the black spokes are, DT maybe?
Chain Reaction Cycles sell the 36 hole black rim alone for £48.99, a complete wheel built to this spec is £77.49. As this one is in such good condition, I reckon £45 posted is fair? The wheel will be sent Royal Mail Standard parcels, if you want it faster, it’ll cost more!
